How long can the video be?

Videos are automatically cut at 30 seconds in length because very few people watch videos that long. If you need to show a longer video, consider cutting it in multiple segments of less than 30 seconds, and put each segment on a separate page.

What's the difference between a video layer and a background video?

Video layers are placed on the foreground, a 36 x 60 grid. This grid is guaranteed to always be visible, regardless of the phone size.

Background videos are always behind the video layers, full screen, and can't be resized.

How do the video adjustments work?

The video will always completely fill the layer shape. The adjustments allow you to move the video within the layer, so that you have more control over the way the video is cropped.

Do I need to add a video description?

Video descriptions are not mandatory, but are a great way of boosting your SEO and improve the accessibility of your Story.

How do I enable sound on my video?

Simple enable sound on your video by clicking the + next to Video Sound at the bottom of the panel. The unmute button will now appear on the canvas, confirming sound is enabled.

Why is my video always muted?

Websites can not autoplay video with sound. This is a limitation of browsers so that video ads on webpages can't disturb you. Playing sound will always require an action from the viewer, in this case, tapping the "Unmute" button at the top of the story.

Can I force the whole video to show in the layer?

Videos always fill the layer, it is not possible to contain the video within the layer. Make sure the layer has a similar aspect ratio to the source video to minimize cropping, and use the margin feature for finer adjustments.

Can borders have different thicknesses?

Border can not have different thicknesses.

Can each corner have a different radius?

Corners can not have different radii.

Why can't I see the shadow?

As the shadow color is black, make sure the background is of a lighter color. It is pretty difficult to see a dark shadow on a dark background.

What is the margin?

The margin allows you to give a little space on each side of the video. This allows you to have a bit more control over the positioning and alignment of the video. Perfect for creating a grid of videos.

How do I know my video is centered?

You know your layer is centered when horizontal or vertical red lines appear. These lines indicate the middle of the canvas.
